Linda writes women’s fiction and historical romance and mystery shaped by a love of period detail and the small, telling textures of everyday life–hand-stitched clothing, the scent of something baking, the quiet presence of art. A longtime observer of human nature, she taught child and family studies at the college level before turning to writing full time, work that deepened her interest in the hidden forces that shape women’s choices.
When she isn’t writing, Linda can often be found walking or hiking under California skies, practicing tai chi or gentle yoga, ballroom dancing, traveling or joining friends at folk music jams. These rhythms keep her grounded and creatively open. She lives in Northern California, has three adult children and is at work on her next novel.
